The Sweepstakes will run from on or about October 28, 2018 until on or about December 23, 2018 (the 'Entry Period'). Entries received outside the Entry Period are void. Enter the Sweepstakes via either one of the following methods. (1) Share any product found on the B&H website (the 'Website') on Facebook or Twitter via the dedicated links contained on the website using the hashtag #BHWishlist; or (2) Mail a postcard (postmarked during the Entry Period) containing your name, address, phone number, and email address, and indicate the subject(s), if any, about which you are interested in receiving future emails from B&H (e.g. Photo, video, audio, computers, home theater, portable entertainment ) (optional) to: B&H $500.00 Gift Card Dash Sweepstakes, c/o B&H Foto & Electronics Corp., 440 Ninth Avenue, New York, NY 10001 (either option, an 'Entry').
Entries must not, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content. Entries deemed by Sponsor to be inappropriate will be disqualified. Entries owned by a third party, or the use of any trademarks, service marks, logos, brands, or products owned by a third party are not acceptable for entry into the Sweepstakes. Limit 1 entry per person, per day.
Winner Selection/Prizes/Odds. The B&H Social Team will randomly select a winner from among all eligible entries every Monday during the Entry Period, for a total eight (8) winners (each a 'Winner'). Each Winner will receive a B&H Gift Card pre-valued in the amount of $500.00. No cash or other substitutions will be offered. Winner selection is in the sole and absolute discretion of the B&H Social Team.
Any taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winners will be notified and receive their prize at the email address associated with the account to which their Entry was posted or the email account provided with a mail-in entry. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Identity of Winners/Eligible Participants. Winners will be identified by the email account associated with the Facebook or Twitter account from which their Entry was submitted or the email account provided with a mail-in entry. An email account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such email account by the internet access or online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with such email account. Any issues regarding the identity of a Winner shall be resolved by Sponsor in its sole discretion. The Sweepstakes is only open to residents of the United States that are at least eighteen (18) years of age on their entry date and is not open to employees of Sponsor, their immediate family, any person domiciled with such employees, or any affiliates or subsidiaries of Sponsor. Entry Ownership/Entrant Agreements. Entrants retain full ownership and copyrights to their Submission.
However, by entering the Sweepstakes entrants grant Sponsor permission to use their Entries for promotional purposes on their respective social media channels with proper credit. Entrants also agree: (a) to be bound by these Official B&H $500.00 Gift Card Dash Sweepstakes Rules; (b) that any claims related to this Sweepstakes shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action and that awards, shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred in entering the Sweepstakes, and shall not include incidental or consequential damages or attorneys fees; and (c) that any actual or perceived ambiguities in these rules shall be interpreted by Sponsor in their sole discretion. Rated 4 out of 5 by FragosTech from WinTV-HVR-1250 works well with Ubuntu This card was automatically recognized by Ubuntu 11.04 and the correct driver was loaded. I've just started setting an application to view TV with it. The natural choice would be Mythtv but it'd difficult to set up and I want is viewing, not recording so I decided to try Me-TV. The trick to setup was to find a configuration file with all the QAM256 frequencies used by Comcast for Fresno CA. Using the Standard frequency set only 30 channels were discovered.
To get the rest like USA and SyFy I still need to find those frequencies. Comcast isn't user friendly when it comes to technical information. No doubt I will solve my problem over time but for now the channels that were discovered work well.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Tano Argento from Wonderful TV Tuner, works on Ubuntu too! I installed the TV Tuner on Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx. At first it didn't seem to work straight out of the box, but it was just a problem of the driver in Ubuntu. Very easy to fix though, in less than an hour it was working perfectly. Works great with the MythTV Server I have on my Ubuntu also. Only thing I don't like about it is that to get the remote control working, you must use a IR receiver on USB.
The cable that was given does not work on Ubuntu. But that is the only thing I couldn't get to working out of the box. I had the 1st one ever made by Miro (a German Company) and have followed every option out there since the 486 days. I have had many other TV cards and the latest are all by Hauppauge. I have a couple of other Hauppauge TV cards HVR-2250 which are no longer available.

This card is just as good and in some areas even better. They make a great DVR/TV card for your windows PC. I had full control and ease of use when I converted all our VCR tapes to digital. If you want to freeze frame copy TV or DRV a show this card does it all with ease. It has nice window sizing options that older models don't have so you have room to work on your computer while watching TV.
Still no company has implemented the desktop TV and Thru-see desktop TV that ATI had with the all-in-wonder cards before they were bought out and stripped by AMD. The new Version 8 software and driver is better now too. Great card for real inexpensive price.I bought 2 for new workstations.

Within Hauppauge WinTV software I can view several channels just fine, so I know that my exterior antenna that is plugged into the pci-express card works. I then go into SageTV and go through all of the setup. When I go to add a source it only lists '850' but from looking around here in the forums it seems like that is what it sees it as instead of a 1250. I choose the 850 video capture, selected antenna as source and it gave an error. I searched the forum and i had to go into the registry and edit a value to even get SageTV to register it as a source.
(let me know if you need this reference). So now it is installed in SageTV but all of the channels are different colors of fuzzy. Everything is fuzzy. No picture at all on any channels. I did a scan in the channel setup and it said it found 0 channels.

BTW the device is a hauppage 12xx but the chip-set is an 885 that is why it shows 885 as the selection.
