I'm using a variety of effects only available in my DAW (FL Studio) to get my voice/guitar sounding the way I like it. Currently, to stream it, I plug my line out into my line in, lower the gain, and go, but I'm looking for a cleaner and more elegant solution.

I've looked for something like this for months, but with no results. I've tried Virtual Audio Cable, Wormhole, JACK, etc, but installable applications don't seem to work for various reasons that escape me right now. I need a VST that I can simply stick on the end of my effect stack, and have it output to a system-level input device - where my microphone and line in devices show up. The whole point of this is to stream the audio, not record it. Quality is not really an issue.

Does such a thing exist? EDIT: Thanks for all the suggestions, guys! Looks like it can't really be done, and there isn't a VST solution created yet. I'm going to see if I can figure out a way to program it myself, which should be. EDIT 2!: There is a way!

Download (I'm using the trial, which works fine for my uses), and download. Put Voxengo recorder as the last VST on the master track (or whatever track you want, really), and set where it routes to as 'Virtual Cable 1' and set the Type to MME (not File). Now set your recording device in the application your streaming with to Virtual Cable 1 and you're set!

Thanks to teleportingduck for suggesting VR! The issue here is that ASIO specifies that the device have complete control of the hardware, which is why you are limited to using the I/O for a device.

Device

This is controlled via the device's ASIO driver. ASIO4ALL isn't a real ASIO driver. It provides a wrapper around hardware devices to make them look like ASIO devices to the DAW. As such, it let's you mix IO between different devices via the ASIO4ALL control panel, and makes them look like a single device. I can't say that all devices will work this way, but it's worth trying.
