When it was running I had it dual booted running Windows 10 and a version of Linux Mint. All was fine until I decided to install a video card with a DVI output. After I setup the PC with keyboard, mouse, network cable, and AC power cord, I pushed the power button. The light to the power button flashed a few times, flashed once more. Further attempts at starting up the PC only lit up the led light and nothing more happened.
I thought I may have blown the power supply, so I installed another (used) power supply. After all connections were made, I pressed the power button again with the same results as before I replaced the power supply. I tried shorting the pins on the mother board that connect to the power button and still nothing happened. I know that power is getting to the motherboard as there is a led light on in the memory stick area. Could I have somehow blown the mother board? How likely is it that the power button went bad?

I just tried removing each memory card, and then hit the power button, and the PC still will not start. Completely dead, except for a led light on in the memory card area. Edited by hamluis, 31 July 2017 - 05:34 PM.
