Database Browser The database browser provided by RazorSQL gives users the ability to browse database structures. The structures shown depend on the database, but for almost all databases, the minimum level of detail includes tables, views, and procedures. For most databases indexes, functions, constraints, and triggers are also included. For some databases.
RazorSQL also provides security information such as users and roles. The database browser displays varying levels of information depending on the object. For example, for database tables, the browser displays such information as column names, column data types, column lengths, column nullability, and primary and foreign key information. For indexes, the browser displays the index name, uniqueness, the table referenced by the index, etc.
In addition to the information displayed for each database structure, the database browser also includes a context menu for performing operations on the structure. For example, for tables, the database browser includes options for altering the table, such as renaming the table, renaming columns, adding and dropping keys, adding constraints, etc.
For stored procedures, the database browser gives users the option to view the code behind the stored procedure, or edit the stored procedure. The database browser also has options for searching database tables, generating DDL for tables, views, and indexes, and much more. The database browser also includes menu options for easily creating SQL statements for tables. For example, the browser provides the ability to generate select., select, update, insert, and delete SQL statements. RazorSQL is available for several operating systems including Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux.

1. I have four totals in the footer of a report that I am calculating using the Countfieldname function. This is because Count does not include null values and what I want to count are all records where 'fieldname' is not null. Is there some way for me to total these 4 totals to include a grand total in the footer?

I have tried using the report field names where the 'Count fieldname values are displayed, but Access doesn't recognize them. I also tried doing the following: =Sum(Count(fieldname)+Count(fieldname2).etc but it gave me an error message about being unable to handle aggregate values. Finally, the reason I am not just counting the records in the detail list (i.e. Count(.)) is that some records have not null values in more than one of the 4 fields.

3. Not being real sharp on computers I was trying to play with this. Everything seems to work but I can't get the information to drop down into the invoice.
Is there a trick to this. I would like to insert a blank line after every 5 records. In Paradox, I could create a grouping that would count the records and then insert a blank area in the group footer. I am very new to Access and cannot figure out how to do this.

A similar request by Dave on October 15th did not help. Apparently I do not understand the directions.

I am using Access 2000 and I am trying to pass parameters to a report. The report generates SQL based on a parameter, which is all done in a code module.
In Access 2002, I used the OpenArgs options on the docmd.openreport command. I have been able to achieve the results by putting the call to the code module within the reportload event. However, I have to hardcode the form in which the parameters are on.
While this works, it doesn't work if I want to call the report from another location. Is there anyway in Access 2000 to pass parameters to a report? Please note the filter and where arguments will not work since Access uses these internally.

In the meanwhile, if your need is urgent, there are freeware, shareware, and Adobe's own Acrobat for generating.PDF files. I have an older copy of Acrobat (v.3) and find it easy to use - installs as a printer, and I just choose it as the printer instead of a physical printer. If you shop around and look at online auctions, you might find an even better deal on a back version than the discount I got on that copy when it was current. Larry Linson Microsoft Access MVP.
